SIRTA (
sirta.ipsl.fr), the Atmospheric Research Observatory of the Institut Pierre Simon Laplace, is organising its 24th Scientific Day on 17 June 2025.
This year, the day will be devoted to atmospheric observatories in the Paris region. It will be an opportunity to present projects based on several observatories as well as those organised independently.
Programme for the day:
- 9:30-12:30: Plenary session of oral presentations in the observatory’s conference room (15 min + 5 min questions)
- 12:30-15:00: Lunch (buffet provided) and poster session (observatory passageway)
- 15:00-17:00: Field seminar session (30-45 min) and visit to the observatory (measurement platform)
The themes for oral presentations, posters and seminars are as follows
– studies of physico-chemical processes in the atmosphere (clouds, aerosols, trace gases, greenhouse gases, water vapour, precipitation)
– analysis of processes at the surface-atmosphere interface (turbulence, boundary layer dynamics)
– studies of climate variability and trends, observations and numerical modelling
– analyses of air quality and atmospheric pollution
– qualification studies of renewable energies (solar, wind) and local energy management solutions (micro-grids)
– measurement campaigns, instrumental tests and spatial validation
– instrumental and algorithmic developments
– educational and public activities
– synergies between ground and satellite measurements
