Two new IASI products available on AERIS: the greenhouse gases CH4 and CO2

Atmospheric methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) columns have been produced from a non-linear inference algorithm and radiances measured by the Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI) and Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit (AMSU) on board the Metop-A and B platforms. The retrievals are performed for clear sky situations over land and sea, day and night, at spot resolution. This non-linear inference scheme was developed at CNRS-LMD (Laboratoire de Météorologie Dynamique) by Cyril Crevoisier. The data provided are available since 2007 until the end of 2020 and will be automatically updated on AERIS as they are produced.
