ACTRIS-FR

ACTRIS-FR is the French component of ACTRIS-EU for the observation and exploration of aerosols, clouds and reactive gases and their interactions. ACTRIS is a distributed European research infrastructure supporting research into climate and air quality. It improves understanding of the evolution of atmospheric processes and composition.

ACTRIS provides users with high-quality information on the 4-D variability of short-lived species, derived from observation and exploration platforms.

ACTRIS operates central platforms (data and calibration centers) and provides services for a wide community of users working on chemistry/climate models, satellite data validation or analysis of weather or air quality forecasting. Finally, ACTRIS offers physical or remote access to its platforms for the benefit of scientific communities and the private sector, thus fostering research, training and technological innovation.

At national level, ACTRIS-FR federates the activities of French research organizations around the themes of aerosols, clouds and reactive gases. It brings together data acquired on :

• instrumented sites: CO-PDD, SIRTA, MAÏDO, P2OA, OHP, ATOLL, CNRM

• and simulation platforms: HELIOS, CESAM.

AERIS is the ACTRIS-FR Data Center. It recovers, processes, archives, catalogs and distributes all measurements transmitted by observation and simulation platforms. Data with a European label are also made available as part of the European ACTRIS infrastructure.
