Responsibilities

• Ensure the administration and operational functioning of all ICARE CDS IT systems and services.
• Ensure the evolution of system and hardware architecture, guaranteeing coherence and integration with existing systems.

• Ensure integration and interfacing with the national structure of the AERIS cluster and IR Data Terra.

Activities

• Assume responsibility for the IT system, ensuring the operational functioning of all ICARE systems and services.
• Analyze and understand the needs of the ICARE CDS and define the means and procedures to guarantee the performance and availability of IT systems.
• Draw up plans for the architecture of computer systems and networks requiring the integration of heterogeneous elements
• Propose and design solutions to ensure coherent integration with existing architecture
• Define service and system operating procedures
• Establish hardware and software sizing, design upgrade plans
• Manage system deployment
• Ensure data security
• Define contingency plans, Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans.
• Conduct calls for tender and validate implementation with service providers and suppliers.
• Participate and represent the CDS in infrastructure meetings and working groups of the AERIS cluster and the Data Terra National Research Infrastructure.
